David J. Weissberg, MD, FAAOS, PC
Over 25 years in private practice, Dr. Weissberg has honed a meticulous and moderate approach to orthopedic care. A co-owner of the Melville Surgery Center and ImPACT™ Protocol - certified team physician for the Huntington, Walt Whitman, and Northport high school football teams , he is expert in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. He specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, knee and ankle problems, including meniscal injuries, anterior cruciate ligament tears, labral and rotator tears, impingement syndromes, and instability issues. Dr. Weissberg is long experienced in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of sports-related injuries (including sprains and fractures) and upper extremity disorders (including carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, trigger finger and de Quervain's tenosynovitis). He performs surgeries at the state-licensed and federally accredited Melville Surgery Center, a multispecialty ambulatory facility boasting high patient satisfaction levels and extremely low infection risks. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Huntington Hospital affiliate earned an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and Orthopedic training at the State University of Stony Brook. He graduated from Downstate University as a member of Alpha Omega Honor Society (AOA) a national medical honor society. He is a member of the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

With over 15 years of experience in orthopedic surgery at the Beth Israel Medical Center and in private orthopedic practice (focusing extensively on sports medicine), Dennis adds a veteran hand and fresh perspective to Long Island Orthopedic Solutions. The registered physician's assistant (certified) is a graduate of the Barry Z. Levine School of Health Sciences at Touro College and is certified and skilled in the use of ImPACT, the most scientifically validated computerized neurocognitive assessment tools and services available today.
Donna Krinsky Romano, MPAS, RPA-C
Well-schooled (bachelor’s degrees from SUNY Stony Brook and Touro College Physician Assistant Program and a master’s of physician assistant studies in orthopedics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center) and professionally proven (a 15+ year career stretching from Brooklyn’s St. Mary’s Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center to private practice), Donna brings proven skills and new ideas to the team. Experienced in numerous physical rehabilitation and orthopedic surgery procedures and trained in ImPACT protocols, she is licensed by the New York State Department of Education as both a physician assistant and athletic trainer. |
